Basic Info
Name:Tsukasa
Bio

Name: Tsukasa
Age: ... Somewhere around 1700
Race: ex-Bloodbonded Human (Is that right, since his master is gone?)
Phsyical Details:
Standing at little over 5'5" (171 cm) Tsukasa is relatively small, but well built. He hides an incredible strength and agility and tends not to publicly exercise it. He generally wears darker clothes in order to tone down his presence and move about as unseen as possible. His hair however, cannot be avoided. His naturally black/brown hair has a small amount of blonde running through it. He doesn't have any idea where they came from, only that he's always had them. And considering he comes from a time that Japan was still separated from the rest of the world aside from China and Korea, it is not known how it got there and it often draws unwanted attention. Since the blonde is harder to hide with short hair, he tends to keep the bits with blonde long and the rest short, that way he can shift his hair to hide the blonde among the darker strands. He has pale skin and the basic characteristics for any vampire due to his hundreds of years as a bloodbond to a very old and powerful vampire, which makes his human heritage almost indistinguishable.

Personality:
Tsukasa tends to be very calm and watchful, with moments where he decides to reach out and grasp a chance to do something interesting and unique, before dropping back down again in satisfaction. He rarely turns down trying something new, but he never goes overboard, if he can help it.

Background:
Tsukasa was a simple farmer in early 300 A.D. at the very beginning of Japan's Heian period. He never really wanted much more than a family with his wife and simple life in the little home that had been built by his grandparents. But that was not to be. There was a visitor he took in one night, a strange, dark man with features he'd never seen before. But he could not bring himself to turn someone away to a particularly cold night. And it was his kindness that was his undoing. In the middle of the night, the stranger that called himself Khaldun drank the blood of his wife, Fukuhana, killing her quite quickly. But he had something different in store for Tsukasa. Apparently Khaldun had been watching Tsukasa for months since he first saw him. But he was not a patient vampire, tending to take what he wanted. And he decided he wanted Tsukasa, and not just as a passing fancy. Before the night was through, Tsuaksa was a bloodbonded to Khaldun.

For about 200 years, Khaldun slowly manipulated the rebellious Tsukasa into believing Khaldun was beginning and end of his existence. And it worked for another 500 years, before Tsukasa's sense of individuality made him rebel once more. This time, he managed to get away long enough to see the gravely changed world. Khaldun had kept Tsukasa close and had made sure to keep him away from much of the outside world. But Tsukasa knew that Khaldun was simply letting him have a taste of the outside world. Over the 500 years, Khaldun has carefully worked to create a stable balance of mortality and immortality within Tsukasa, like an experiment under a constant microscope. This little escape was for Tsukasa's own mental health.

It was 50 years before Khaldun came for him again. But when Khaldun came, it was strangely different. Khaldun would no longer force him to take his blood or to drink that of a mortal's now and again, nor would he attempt to force himself on the other. Tsukasa could come and go as he pleased, but because Khaldun was just about everything he had ever known for 700 years, he always came back. Slowly, a calm companionship came between the two that helped to stablize Tsukasa's frazzled mind and settle a tormented body. Slowly, Tsukasa created connections and explored outside of Khaldun's little, highly secluded home. Tsukasa still does not know how or why Khaldun changed his additude, and doesn't care to know, though a later explanation explains a bit, it is still confusing to him. But this relationship continued up until two hundred years ago. That was when Khaldun announced that he was ready to move on to the next world. This threw Tsukasa into a bit of a fit, knowing he would be going with the other. But Khaldun assured him, that the 700 hundred years that he tormented Tsukasa was so that he could survive this.

And he did. It was painful beyond anything he had ever felt, but he survived and is still alive and only slightly different from what he was when Khaldun was alive. Because of how he was bonded, the specific mixings of blood inside him and Khaldun's own age and power, Khaldun made it so that no one could begin to guage how long Tsukasa would live after he died. Now he wanders around aimlessly, taking life as it comes and tries not to dwell on the past too much. He has temporarily set up home in Kyuusho Kyusai and plans to stay there till he decides to leave.

Other Info: Tsukasa doesn't like to talk about the first 700 years with Khaldun, he likes to remember Khaldun as the simple, calm companion he was the last 800 years he was alive. He also doesn't remember many specifics about the time, and doesn't care to. And he gets touchy when peole focus on that time.
